No rehearsal

The office sent an email out on Friday and it has been brought to my attention that not everyone received it. So, Voila! I will be in touch…Ms Boylan

Dear CSYSA Families and Staff,

Earlier today we learned that two CSYSA students tested positive for COVID-19 on November 5th. These are the first known cases of positive tests for CSYSA students. The students are siblings, one in Ovation, the other in Allegro. We are following guidance from the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment regarding isolation and quarantine of affected individuals.

The students who tested positive are in isolation and are believed to have contracted it from an immediate family member, who tested positive on Wednesday. The Ovation student was in attendance on Sunday and Monday without symptoms, and the Allegro student was in attendance on Sunday without symptoms, but did not attend rehearsal yesterday (Thursday).

Ovation and Allegro are required to enter a two week cohort isolation period and will not be able to meet in person during that time. We will be sending those groups additional information about online plans for instruction during that period.
While they are quarantined, students in the impacted classes will transition to online instruction and staff will provide more information to those families soon. All other groups can attend rehearsals as scheduled.
As COVID-19 cases in our region quickly increase, please inform the CSYSA office right away if your student or a family member tests positive for COVID-19. Our COVID-19 policies can be easily referenced on our website and additional state guidance can be found on the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment website.

The most common symptoms of COVID-19 include fever, cough and/or shortness of breath. Other symptoms can include sore throat, congestion/runny nose, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, headache/body aches and new loss of taste or smell. If you have a concern, please contact your medical provider for guidance.
Thank you for doing your part in keeping our students and staff healthy and safe.
